Description

LH 2nd Row Puma One Piece Steel Door

This is the superb and most sort after door which is made from a a single pressing frame as opposed to the earlier type of door which is made from multiple welded sections

These are fitted to all 2006 onward Defenders as standard

This can be retrofitted to earlier models with some minor modification. Unlike Puma front doors, your older style door card will fit to these puma 2nd row doors.

All the other parts from your pre 2006 door can be reused, the internal window winder panel sometimes requires a couple of brackets making so it is supported fully though many of the mounts for this panel do line up so is just a matter of fitting what bolts you can and where needed add a few brackets to support the window winder panel.

These really are the bees knees of doors and are very sort after and we have these at a fantastic price!

On all Tdci style doors, around where the window sits, they have a lip pressed into the inner frame. This is unlike earlier doors which do not have this lip. This means fitting the window channel and spacers is very tight as the idea in manufacture was the window channel and spacers would be squeezed into place and the lip would keep all of the channel fixed into place to aid assembly of the door for mass production. However we find it is much better to just grind this lip off before painting using a flap disc in an angle grinder as it means once painted the window channel and spacers just simply slot into place like on earlier doors. It is very easy to do and only takes a few minutes per door so well worth doing before painting
We have attached a photo on the listing to show the lip on Tdci doors and showing the earlier doors which do not have the lip.

They come in a black primer so are ready to paint body colour.
