Galvanised Def Fully Built Up Complete Left-Hand Front Door - 83-05

This is a fully built up brand new LH front door with hot dip galvanised frame with the option of a zintec steel skin for strength & corrosion resistance or an original aluminium skin for Defender models 1983-2005.
This does not include the door card so you can fit your own - ideal for customers who wish to retain their own door cards or have custom leather door cards etc.
These save hours in labour time and are the best doors on the market, it has great longevity & you know its provenance as it is a brand new item.
The doors are unique to us, we are the only company selling fully built-up doors that are ready to bolt onto your Defender.
The only thing you need to complete is the door card and the male door card clips and to fit your old or new lock barrel into the handle (simply pushes and locks into place).
This door also comes with the plastic trim parts you fit after fitting the door card such as window winder and bezel, interior grab handle and the pull handle surround and the interior button lock bezel. So is just the door card and male door card clips you need to fit.
The door is fully fitted with a handle and lock mechanism, glass, winding window etc.
Just bolt this onto you hinges and fit the door card and lock and you are ready to go.
Every nut, bolts and screw used to attach the parts to the door are stainless steel.
They come with the option of the small diameter lock push button door handle (for Defender 1983-2002) and also the option of the large diameter lock push button door handle. (For Defender 1983-2002). Or with the option of a blanked off push button door handle (normally found on central locking models).
If you do not know which you have just measure the lock diameter. The smaller type is 16mm in diameter, the larger lock 20mm.
If you select the Britbillet 20mm Aluminium push button handle, we provide a spare blank cover so you can decide if you want a lock hole in the handle or not. These simply pop in or out so gives you flexibility.

Whoever paints the panel must be given the instructions to simply go over the frame with Mordant solution / T wash which etches the zinc finish black and means the paint will properly adhere. You should then go over with an etch primer, then a high build primer and then finally your colour coats.
