At last, there is now a galvanised version of this door available!
High quality Galvanised Aftermarket one piece rear door for 2002-2016 Defender models

Due to customer demand we have made these without the 6 wheel carrier holes, so if you don't want to fit a wheel to the door you won't have exposed wheel carrier holes on show. The door still has the strengthening bars to take a wheel carrier if you change your mind in the future.

This is pressed from zinc plated steel sheet, so is coated inside and out with zinc so will last a very long time indeed!
The finish is perfectly smooth so also ideal for painting. As with any galvanised item, you will need to wash over the door with Mordant solution / T wash which dulls the galv finish down, then you can go over with an epoxy primer and then your colour coats. The mordant solution / T wash ensures the paint sticks properly.

This is for 2002-2016 Defender but can be retrofitted to earlier models .
The only unique parts needed to fit to the earlier Defender are the glass and rubber seal which holds the glass in as well as the door card. All the other parts such as hinges and handle, check strap etc all swap over.
